India is most populated country here main concern isjob for everyone. No doubt agriculture is basic industry. But you know Textilewas basic and biggest contributing industry in olden days. Today it has bigpotential.


In olden days India was known for best textilemanufacturing due to our skilled workers. They were working on handloomtechnology. As the time change British find the need and slowly they broughttechnological up gradation. They started many mill in our country withtechnology and machines.


Since you know that lot of change has come inall industries. The Agriculture in olden days were completely by manualworking, which today come out with fully automatic machines like Tractors, Newmethods, Fertilizer and many more technological up gradation even today we cansee peoples involved are qualified.


Also we can see big change in construction &civil industries. But textile still peoples are working with old technologyand culture given by British.


We can say in cotton industry we have change toa great extend. Many industries have come with latest technical know how butstill Synthetic industries are working with 40 years old System of Dyeing. InSpinning and Weaving modernization has taken place. Dyeing still we do withconventional Jiggars. The method of dyeing is also still old. The importantthings are that the workers running this industry are all illiterate and stafftechnician have come by experience as worker. So today most of the industriesrun by illiterates worker and staff. So they will never accept change and willnever bring culture. The serious issue is that new generations are very advanceand their education is also very high they cannot match with existing culture.They will never work with this illiterate people. So it is very dangerous stageafter few years we may not have required working strength for our industry.


Second One of the major concern in our countrywe have big language barrier. As I told you the worker are illiterate they doknow English. And all our Management our information flow is in English. Justfor communication we need two level i.e. Supervisor, Shift In charge and H.O.D.This people simple pass the information flow of management i.e. planning.Methods and parameters to workers as they do know English. In abroadtechnical director with the help of lab they decide Route, method andparameters. They make everyday machine planning. They put every information onJob card which moves with respective fabric. The machine operators are allqualified literate person they follow every things written on Job card. Theydoes not require any supervisor or H.O.D. or more levels of management. weknow more people or staff the egos will take place and everyone is aftertheir ego ultimately company suffer also they will not allow new culture andnew generation in to our industry as they limitation of knowledge.


My latest talk with the M.D. of one the leadingtextile mill. While talking with them I come to know they invested millions ofrupees in their industry but the industry run by all illiterates. He wants tobring change but afraid of working people their stand and politics. He told methat they may disturb my working. This situation is very danger because we arelosing our time with such people. Now a days every things are open we have tocome forward to take big discussions.


The progress of industry will be possible onlywhen:


  • M.D. or Top management will think and plan at least 5 to 10 years in advance


  • The managers will think and plan one year in advance.


  • The H.O.D. has to think plan for month in advance.


  • The worker has to think of everyday every hours and minutes.


  • The industry must run by System and not by Man. Good Systems will automatically bring Culture
