Kanu Priya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology. She holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and an M.Tech in Software Engineering. Her passion for teaching and interdisciplinary design led her to join the National Institute of Fashion Technology in 2020.
Prior to joining NIFT, Kanu Priya served for over eight years at NIT Kurukshetra in the Department of Computer Engineering, where she contributed extensively to teaching, research, and academic development. Her areas of expertise include Information Technology, Databases, Artificial Intelligence, E-commerce, and Web Technologies. She has authored several research papers published in reputed journals and conferences, focusing on the application of IT in evolving domains.
She is also an innovator and patent holder of the 'Hexapedal Robot Manager for the Hospitality Industry,' showcasing her interest in intelligent systems and automation. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of technology and education, she was invited for felicitation at Samvaad Bharat Tex 2025.
Currently, Kanu Priya holds multiple roles at NIFT Panchkula. She is the Unit In-Charge ERP, IT Head, and Webmaster, responsible for managing the campus’s digital infrastructure and IT systems. She plays a vital role in integrating technology into academic and administrative functions, enhancing efficiency and innovation on campus.
