Coromandel International has signed an MoU worth ₹2,000 crore (~$225.72 million) with the government of Andhra Pradesh. The company will develop a 500–1,000-acre port-based industrial complex dedicated to fertilisers, phosphate-based speciality chemicals and EV intermediates, supporting growth across these sectors.
The event was graced by the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Coromandel International’s executive chairman Arun Alagappan and managing director & CEO S Sankarasubramanian were also present during the signing, the company said in a Facebook post.
This major facility is expected to create new employment opportunities and strengthen the region’s industrial corridor.
The Chief Minister also invited Coromandel International to invest in Drone City, enabling drone production and advanced farming technologies. This collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh State Government reinforces Coromandel’s commitment to empowering farmers through innovation, sustainability and future-ready Agri-solutions for the state.
