France's consumer price index increases by 5.6% YoY in March

This decrease in inflation should result from a slowdown in energy prices, INSEE said in a release.

Prices of manufactured goods and services should increase over a year in March at a rate close to that of the previous month.

Over a month, consumer prices should increase by 0.8 per cent in March this year, after a 1 per cent rise in February.

The prices of energy should slow down due to the new decrease in petroleum product prices and those of manufactured goods should accelerate, the government agency noted.
