The 11th Round of the India-Australia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (Ind-Aus CECA) negotiations was convened in New Delhi from August 18–23, 2025, with the objective of further strengthening bilateral trade and economic partnership.
The discussions covered a wide range of areas including goods, services and mobility, digital trade, rules of origin, legal and institutional provisions, environment, labour, and gender, bringing greater understanding and convergence on the remaining provisions.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the Ind-Aus CECA and ensuring it delivers meaningful benefits, economic opportunities, and a balanced outcome for both countries, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry said in a release.
To maintain momentum and achieve convergence, the partners will continue negotiations through virtual intersessional meetings.
Looking ahead, with shared ambition and mutual understanding, India and Australia remain strongly aligned towards the early conclusion of a mutually beneficial agreement. As India steadily expands its trade footprint, this round reflects its steadfast commitment to deepening economic partnerships aligned with national priorities and global aspirations.
