India's GDP grows to ₹38.17 lakh cr, up 6.3% YoY in Q2 2022-23

GDP at current prices in Q2 2022-23 is estimated at ₹65.31 lakh crore, as against ₹56.20 lakh crore in Q2 2021-22, showing a growth of 16.2 per cent. Furthermore, the GDP for H1 2022-23 at current prices is estimated at ₹130.26 lakh crore as against ₹107.47 lakh crores during the corresponding period of previous year, showing a growth of 21.2 per cent in H1 2022-23

For the manufacturing industry, the estimate of gross value added (GVA) at basic prices for Q2 at current prices was ₹846,975 crore, 2 per cent up from ₹824,612 in the corresponding period of previous year. Manufacturing industry’s estimate of GVA at basic prices for H1 2022-23 at current prices was ₹1,713,109, 8.8 per cent up from ₹1,573,958 in H1 2021-22.
