Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumio on the third day of the ASEAN-Japan 50th Commemorative Summit in Tokyo. The Asia Zero Emission Community Leaders Meeting (AZEC) was also held in parallel.
The MoU agendas include a national data centre project to promote e-governance in Cambodia, a project on digital water supply management system in urban areas and a vessel for hydrological measurement for the production of electronic navigation maps by Cambodia.
The National Bank of Cambodia and Japan’s ministry of economy, trade and industry signed an MoU on cross-border payment cooperation via QR code, a release by the Cambodian ministry of information said.
Cambodia’s ministry of mines and energy signed an MoU with Japan’s Minebea Mitsumi and SchneiTec Co Ltd on a solar energy project. The ministry signed another MoU with Japan’s Erex Co Ltd and SPHP (Cambodia) Co Ltd on a biomass energy project, Cambodian media outlets reported.
