Neelam Shami Rao appointed secretary in Indian ministry of textiles

Rachna Shah has been appointed secretary of the department of personnel and training.

A Madhya Pradesh cadre Indian administrative service officer of the 1992 batch, Rao has earlier served as the central provident fund commissioner, director general of training in the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship and district collector in Guna and Koria districts of Madhya Pradesh.

She is an alumnus of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, with a B. Tech. degree in Electronics.

Neerja Sekhar has been transferred from the post of special secretary in the ministry of information and broadcasting to the position of director general of the National Productivity Council under the department for promotion of industry and internal trade.
