Control Union Certifications Vietnam has launched textile inspections and certifications programme to help Vietnamese textile and garment firms to follow market trends.
The company has earlier introduced Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Global recycle standard, and Organic Exchange (OE) in the Vietnam textile and garment industry.
For the new programme, textile inspections would be carried out by the firm's local staff, who are qualified and trained to undertake the task.
The programme will enable Vietnamese textile and garment companies to diversify their product range. It will also bring them in contact with a new group of buyers.
The textile inspection and other standards brought by Control Union are used by several leading companies in Japan, EU and the US.
To introduce the new programme, Control Union will be organizing seminars on April 25 and 26, 2012 in Vietnam.
