Prices in the energy sector rose by 19.9% and 26.8% respectively. Intermediate goods gained 2.0% in the euro-zone and 2.1% in the EU25.
Non-durable consumer goods increased by 1.5% in both zones. Durable consumer goods gained 1.3% in the euro-zone and 1.2% in the EU25.
Capital goods rose by 0.9% and 1.1% respectively.
Among Member States for which data are available, the highest increases were observed in the United Kingdom (+16.7%), Denmark (+12.3%) and the Netherlands (+11.7%), and the lowest in the Czech Republic (+0.4%) and Slovenia (+1.3%).
