An Icelandic business delegation visited India to enhance bilateral trade between India and Iceland at a conference organised by Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce Industries, (FICCI) Western Regional Council.
The delegation was led by H E Ms Thorgerdur Katrin Gunnarsdottir, Minister of Education, Culture and Science.
India can export quality products like textiles, readymade garments, cotton-made accessories, pharmaceuticals, gems and jewellery, fine chemicals among others to Iceland said the Minister.
Ms Gunnarsdottir said that India is world's fastest growing free economy and has lot of investment opportunities in Iceland in many sectors.
Vijay Paradkar, Assistant General Manager, State Industrial & Investment Corporation of Maharashtra (SICOM) Ltd highlighted investment opportunities in the state especially in food agro, technology, textile, telecom, auto and IT, logistics, agriculture, electricity, engineering and tourism sectors.
Thorder Hillmarsson, Director Invest in Iceland informed that Iceland's corporate tax of 18 percent is lowest in the world which was an incentive by itself.
