Spanish textile industry price index rises 0.4% in July'13

The Industrial Price Index (IPRI) for textiles in Spain increased by 0.4 percent year-on-year in July 2013, according to the data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE).
 
In the manufacture of apparel segment, the IPRI showed a decline of 1.4 percent year-on-year during the month of July 2013.
 
The manufacturing industry, which includes the manufacturing of textiles and apparel, registered a 0.1 percent year-on-year increase during the month.
 
Overall, the annual rate of the Industrial Price Index stands at 0.8 percent, which is 0.5 percent lower than that registered during the month of June 2013.
 
IPRI measures the monthly change in prices of industrial products manufactured and sold. The index measures ex-factory selling prices that do not include expenses incurred on marketing, transportation and value-added tax (VAT).
