A group of 30 Peruvian entrepreneurs, led by Peru’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade Carlos Posada, are visiting Nordic countries to identify new markets for Peruvian exports, Peruvian Nordic Chamber said.

Representatives of Peruvian firms, including those engaged in manufacturing of textiles and apparel, will be travelling to Norway, Sweden, Poland and Denmark and conduct a market research in those countries, Peruvian news agency andina reported.

Raul Alta-Torre, head of Peruvian Nordic Chamber, said the mission will strengthen trade relations between Peru and the Nordic countries, and also promote investment.

The Peruvian Nordic Chamber has organized business meetings in Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Warsaw, capitals of Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Poland, respectively.

The visit of Peruvian entrepreneurs has been organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), the Commission for the Promotion of Peru Export and Tourism (Promperu), and the Agency for Promotion of Private Investment (ProInversión).

The Peruvian Nordic Chamber, the Association of Exporters (ADEX) and the Chamber of Commerce of Lima are also participating in the business prospecting mission. The delegates would also have meetings with government authorities in the Nordic countries.
