A new shopping center is scheduled to open this September in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) housing complex in Tangerang.
PT BSD Corporate Communications Manager Dhony Rahajoe said, the new BSD Junction was planned as a lifestyle destination with focus on dining and entertainment.
Construction is on schedule and some completed commercial areas will be handed over to tenants in July, he said.
BSD Commercial Marketing Manager Ansyori said, the largest tenant of new shopping center would be Hong Kong restaurant Golden Pearl occupying some 650 square meters of land.
Other tenants include restaurants Platinum, Sapo Oriental and Gino Cafe, and food outlets Bread Story, Daily Bread and D'Crepes.
Restaurants and cafes will center around a revolving stage showcasing live music regularly, Ansyori said.
Fashion outlets such as Hammer, Lawman Jeans, Chic Simplicity, Fashion and Glamour Factory Outlet, Buccheri, Cherilon Shoes, Sepatu 101 and Toko Sepatu 99, will also open at the Junction.
These represent just a few of the 1,000 speciality stores, 86 gallery shops, 58 restaurants and cafes at BSD Junction, Ansyori said.
The Junction is just one of several new shopping centers coming up in this year to establish Bumi Serpong Damai as a satellite city, Dhony said.
Three commercial centers in the form of shop-houses are also planned by BSD to open in May.
These centers are Ruko Versailles, Ruko Tol Boulevard and BSD Auto Parts.
