Earns unanimous vote to represent LDCs in WTO

As Gambia failed to protect interest of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), they have selected Bangladesh as their representative in World Trade Organisation (WTO) for next six months, informed Commerce Ministry.

This move will help country to encourage bilateral and multilateral talks in next WTO meets.

Bangladesh' export items have been removed from other countries' negative list that might cause problem for country in WTO, official of Commerce Ministry stated.

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) welcomed this change in LDC leadership.
