General Administration of Customs released the data about the performance of China's foreign trade in the first 9 months this year.
During January-September 2006 period China's foreign trade reached US $1272.61 billion, representing a rise of 24.3 percent from last year, of which export valued $691.231 billion, up 26.5 percent; import amounted to $581.379 billion, 21.8 percent over last year.
Trade surplus was $109.851 billion. Combined export amount of textiles and apparel reached over $105.6 billion, breaking the important pass of $100 billion.
