“EU anti-dumping case of leather shoes has affected nearly 300 enterprises and the livelihoods of nearly 10,000 people in Fujian. The amount involved is US $68 million, accounting for about one-fourth of that in the whole country.”, the Commerce Chamber of Fujian shoes and hats Import and Export said yesterday on a training session 'technical guidance of footwear export', which is aimed at how to deal with international trade frictions.
It is learned that shoemaking enterprises in Fujian account for 28percent of the amount involved in the case, ranking the second in the whole country.
On the 5th of last month, EU adopted anti-dumping duty on China-made leather shoes for the final ruling, and from October 7, EU started to levy 16.5 percent of anti-dumping duty on Chinese shoes, but after China's efforts, five-year levy period has been reduced to two years.
It is understood that Fujian has established an anti-dumping Coordination Association. At present, there are 37 enterprises taking part in the Association.
