The first agreement tender of annual textile export quotas to the EU and the US in 2007 concluded last Friday.
It is reported that a total number of 3,650 companies participated in the bidding, accounting for 89.8 percent of the enterprises who had successful passed the tender conditions, and 76.4 percent of the eligible enterprises.
According to the participated textile enterprises, the tender price was generally lower than the current market price, even lower than OPA prices.
It is expected that there would be a lot of OPA orders returning to the mainland in the first half of next year.
