Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) revealed plans to introduce various professional courses for and after Grade-12 on subjects including fashion and garment technology, heritage craft as well as visual and graphics art.
President A P J Abdul Kalam also recently publicly supported this strategy, explaining the students should gain practical skills and be capable of success in modern-day fields that are rapidly becoming popular.
CBSE Chairman, Ashok Ganguly, urged organizations like CII and FICCI to come forward and provide essential guidance.
He stressed, “We are interacting with people who are helping us in designing the courses and syllabus.”
