Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park has opened a new artisan store. Founder Pamela Mallet conveyed that the shop will satisfy consumer's demands of handmade items.
Fine artworks such as jewellery, pottery, bronze, paintings, dresses, vintage items will be on sale at the store. Most expensive item is a $2,700 necklace, while the least one is a set of cordial glasses with silver branding priced at $3 per piece.
Significant works available are a $425 hand-painted chinoiserie table by Cheryl Benedict, a $800 alabaster work by Steve Finch, raku pottery worth $165 by Jeff Carlick and custom pillows worth $240 made of taffeta and silk by Los Altos designer Sandy Powell.
Part of profits from sale of the Allied Arts Guild store's products will be donated to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Stanford.
