Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has seized smuggled goods worth NGN53.7 million including imported shoes, sandals and banned textile materials.
The goods smuggled were loaded inside four trucks, expected to have come from China.
According to Customs Area Controller, goods were worth NGN4 million and duty to be charged on it was NGN8.3 million with total value estimated at NGN53.7 million including value of the trucks.
The goods seized are expected to be sold in public auction.
