Recently, the Angolan government sanctioned the concession rights of diamond prospecting for Lacage kimberlite, Luacheze district, to the National Diamond Company of Angola (ENDIAMA E.P).
The endeavor taken by Angola Government was primarily to promote and encourage foreign investments in the mining industry and to bring in modern technologies for the diamond sector.
The resolution is stated in the State Gazette number 122 in the first series. It was made available to ANGOP on November 3.
Besides, the government in the same text has approved the establishment of the Association in Participation in Lacage, between ENDIAMA, International Gold Exploration (IGE), Somileste and Magma Commerce, Industry and Supply Services.
Participation quotas for each of these companies, accounts for 51 percent for ENDIAMA, 43 for IGE, four for Somileste and two for Magma.
