SPRING Singapore the enterprise development agency inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Economic Development Board of Libya to promote enterprise development in the two countries.
SPRING Chairman Mr Philip Yeo signed the MOU with Dr Mahmoud Gebril, Director General of the Libyan agency. The signing this afternoon was witnessed by Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Lim Hng Kiang, and Dr Saif Al-Islam Al-Ghaddafi, President of the Ghaddafi International Foundation for Charity Associations.
This MOU will promote collaboration between the two agencies and strengthen co-operation between companies and government agencies in Libya and Singapore. Areas of collaboration include the: • Exchange of information, best practices and technology in entrepreneurship and enterprise development, • Promotion of business collaborations between companies, especially Small & Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in both countries, • Identification and development of projects of common interest, for example in the training and education of government officials and SMEs.
