A conference is being organized in Oman, under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, to discuss the issuance of an 'Arab certificate of origin'.
The conference aims to educate on the points of agreement reached by the Arab committee to the respective officials from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Public Establishment for Industrial Estates & the Customs Department, who will be in charge of issuance of certificates.
It will also emphasize on the regulations to be followed in respect to commodities like textiles and agricultural products.
The conference is meant to lay out a policy framework for the introduction of the certificate in the country after the extension of the implementation date.
