Govt set to establish MSM industries in the federation

Mr Yar'Adua expressed grief over the closure of local industries including textile factories across the country which resulted into countless job losses and negatively affected the social and economic aspects of textile industry in the country.
In order to bring a solution to the existing crisis, Mr Yar'Adua explained that the federal executive council (FEC) recently approved a National Gas Policy Infrastructure Master Plan including the implementation of the short term gas supply strategy that will supply gas to the domestic markets.
The President also regretted the gradual collapse of textile industry, which employed 1.3 million Nigerians directly and indirectly across the federation. What is required, is government subsidy and necessary assistance to long-suffering farmers to produce raw materials cheaply.
