Two high level representatives of the Chinese government have reached Washington, USA, to start the first Sino-US strategic economic dialogue which begins from July 27.
The frame work of the meeting is expected to delve on three major issues; Sino-US relations, international and regional issues, and global issues.
The main theme is to restore confidence in economic growth and strengthen Sino-US economic cooperation and both sides have been working hard on the same.
Director of China Policy Project of George Washington University, Shen Da Wei sees this dialogue as the platform to further enhance mutual understanding.
He also believes that this dialogue will promote the US-China cooperation between the two sides and will enter a new level of understanding between the two sides.
The Obama administration continues his predecessor's policy on China, but it will pay more attention to climate change, energy security and financial security.
Other than three major issues, the dialogue is also expected to discuss two topics worth paying special attention; global financial stability and climate change.
