EPB evaluates execution status of plans of Trade Policy for 2004-05

Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) convened a meeting on Monday to examine the latest execution status of several plans discussed in the Trade Policy for 2004-05. Vice Chairman of EPB chaired the meeting.
The plans comprised progress of garment segment, strengthening quality, volume of developmental sectors including fisheries, horticulture, furniture, marble, gems and jewellery, footwear, sports and surgical instrument.
Attended by the high-ranking executives of EPB and related implementing officials, the meeting carried out detailed evaluation of execution of various plans.
The Vice-Chairman gave detailed suggestions in some cases to accelerate the execution and to increase their profits for the business group.
The Vice-Chairman EPB recommended the concerned officers to take on a more definite practical method therefore, utmost execution and utilisation of these plans can be realised. EPB is to hold another meeting on October 29, 2005 to evaluate implementation status of Trade Policy 2005-06.
