The Furnishing Solutions Business Unit of Propex Operating Company, LLC has announced a 9% price increase for all products sold into the North American carpet, automotive, turf, furniture and bedding industries, effective February 24, 2010. This upward adjustment is in addition to the 6% increase announced on February 1, 2010.
These increases are primarily driven by the continued, upward trend in key raw materials, notably polypropylene resin. Over the past twelve months, the cost of polypropylene resin has increased 95%.
