SR Industries, announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art plant for footwear production, at Singhan village, Haroli tehsil, Una district. It will have a capacity of manufacturing 4.8 million pairs per year.
The estimated investment in setting up the plant is Rs 305 million. In order to avail benefits of excise duty and income tax, the project will be constructed in Himachal Pradesh.
Puma, a leader in the international footwear market, has agreed to purchase the entire production.
