South Korea and Bangladesh recently launched negotiations for signing an economic partnership agreement (EPA).

Bangladesh commerce adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin and South Korean minister for trade Inkyo Cheong attended the first round of talks in Seoul.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed as part of the initial step for signing the EPA on trade, investment and infrastructure development, according to a domestic new agency in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh commerce secretary Mohammad Selim Uddin and South Korean deputy minister for trade Jongwon Park were present at the signing ceremony.
