Turkiye's consumer confidence ascends 4.4% in October 2023

Turkiye's consumer confidence index has shown a notable increase, rising 4.4 per cent from 71.5 in September to 74.6 in October, according to the data by the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat) and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye.

The sub-indices for October 2023 also showed varied changes: The general economic situation expectation for the next 12 months rose to 72.9, marking a 7.2 per cent increase from September's 68. In contrast, the assessment on spending money on durable goods over the next 12 months saw a marginal rise, inching up from 92.7 in September to 93.2 in October, a change of just 0.5 per cent, as per Turkstat.
