Instrumental colour measurement is a critical component of AATCC's work. The Ci7860 will be used for various projects related to test method development and quality control materials.
AATCC will also use the spectrophotometer in demonstrations during workshops related to colour management and measurement. It will be available to corporate members who visit the AATCC labs, said the association in a press release.
The donation is the latest addition to AATCC's laboratory at its technical centre in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. X-Rite has been an active corporate member of AATCC since 1994. (KD)
