Cambodia exported footwear worth $2,285.597 million in January-November 2024, which was 6.72 per cent higher than the exports during the corresponding period of 2023. The country had exported footwear worth $2,141.955 million in January-November 2023. The United States ranked as the largest market for the shipment.

Cambodia’s footwear exports to the US were valued at $745.813 million in the first 11 months of 2024, accounting for 32.63 per cent of the total shipments during the same period. After the US, Japan was the second-largest market for Cambodia’s footwear exports. Exports to Japan were valued at $221.537 million in the same period, representing 9.69 per cent of the total, according to Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool, TexPro.

Among the other top 10 markets, the country’s shipments were recorded as: Germany $164.929 million (7.22 per cent), Canada $122.301 million (5.35 per cent), Netherlands $120.265 million (5.26 per cent), China $107.604 million (4.71 per cent), France $75.749 million (3.31 per cent), South Korea $75.439 million (3.30 per cent), Belgium $64.713 million (2.83 per cent), and Spain $55.264 million (2.42 per cent).

Cambodia’s footwear exports totalled $2,315.606 million in 2023. Its shipments reached $2,944.407 million in 2022, the year after COVID-related disruptions.

The country exported footwear worth $2,164.154 million in 2019, which decreased to $1,879.010 million in the following year, 2020. However, it recovered the very next year, 2021, when the shipment was valued at $2,081.321 million. It further increased in 2022, according to TexPro.
