Solar equipment worth UGX20 million was donated yesterday by British High Commission to the Acid Survivors Foundation Uganda (ASFU).
The new equipment will assist pressure garment units in Kampala to work during power failure.
Pressure garments are items of clothing that are individually made to body measurements and apply pressure to the skin surface.
Continuous effective pressure remodels the histological changes of the newly formed collagen fibres and reorganizes its pattern into more uniform and natural rearrangement leading to overall natural cosmetic appearance of healed wounds.
