Datang Socks Town is located in the native place of Chinese socks, Datang town, Zhuji city, Zhejiang. It was formed by two independent markets of Datang light textile raw materials market and Datang socks market.
Zhejiang Datang Socks Town covers 85 Chinese mu (one hectare = 15 mu), its construction area occupied 47,000 square meters. The town has 5170 booths in total, of which business houses are 670 and sharing counters are 4500.
In 1999, its trade turnover was 5.628 billion yuan and profits exceeded 100 million yuan. Its main products are chemical fiber raw materials and socks, which are sold throughout the country, and as far away as Russia, Southeast Asia, African countries and regions.
