China is the world's largest exporter of toys, China's exports account for about 60 percent of global export volume.
According to the data by Chinese Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of light industry and handicrafts, toy exports reached $7.086 billion in 2006. Toy imports of the US for the same year amounted to $9.796 billion, of which direct imports from China marked $3.233 billion, accounting for about 33 percent. Total toy imports by EU registered $6.196 billion, of which direct imports from China were $1.541 billion accounting for 24.87 percent.
