Swiss entrepreneurs are interested to invest in Bangladesh’s leather sector, according to Switzerland’s ambassador to Bangladesh Nathalie Chuard, who recently met industries minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun and conveyed the interest of a Zurich-based tannery to take a tour of the Savar tannery estate.Humayun, in turn, urged Chuard to raise imports of textile and garment products from Bangladesh.
During the meeting, Chuard and Humayun agreed to work together on issues like patents, trademarks of products and services, designs, protection of intellectual property and geographical indication products, according to a Bangla newspaper report.
