Turkiye's clothing-footwear CPI up 31.45% YoY, down 0.25% MoM in Nov

Turkiye’s general consumer price index (CPI) rose by 2.24 per cent month on month (MoM) and 47.09 per cent year on year (YoY) in November this year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat).

It rose by 42.91 per cent over the December 2023 figure and by 60.45 per cent on the twelve-months moving averages basis in the month.

Transportation, with 26.24 per cent, was the main group that indicated the lowest annual increase. The YoY CPI rise for clothing and footwear was 31.45 per cent in the month.

At minus 0.25 per cent, clothing and footwear was the main group that recorded the highest monthly decrease in CPI.

Domestic producer price index (D-PPI) increased by 0.66 per cent MoM and by 29.47 per cent YoY in November. It increased by 28.01 per cent on the December 2023 figure and by 42.60 per cent on the twelve-months moving averages basis in the month.

D-PPI increased by 31.31 per cent YoY and 1.07 per cent MoM for manufacturing in the country, a Turkstat release said.
