Flexible packaging materials and solution company Uflex Limited has launched 9.5 micron speciality ALOx polyester film, Flexaloxprotect F-PGX in order to offer solutions in down gauging and light weighting. The speciality film has been developed at Flex-Americas-S.A.-de-C.V., a subsidiary of Uflex in Mexico and is the thinnest PET ALOx film available.
According to Uflex, despite being the leanest, the film offers very good barrier for oxygen and water vapour as W.V.T.R (gm/m2/day) and O.T.R (cc/m2/day) are both below 1.0.Flexible packaging materials and solution company Uflex Limited has launched 9.5 micron speciality ALOx polyester film, Flexaloxprotect F-PGX in order to offer solutions in down gauging and light weighting. The Flexaloxprotect F-PGX is 24 per cent lighter as against its 12.5 micron variant and nearly 60 per cent lighter than the 23.5 micron variant, while the price coordinates are better and so is the yield.
The 12.5 micron ALOx film has a yield of 57.14 sq. metres per kg and the 23.5 micron film has a yield of 30.4 sq. metres per kg, the 9.5 micron speciality ALOx film yields 75.18 sq. metres per kg. (AR)
