Indonesia recently completed talks for the Comprehensive Indonesia-European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IE-CEPA), which will be signed this month, the country’s trade minister Enggartiasto Lukita said in Geneva. Negotiations for the pact with EFTA members Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland took seven years.

EFTA members will gain access to investment in Indonesia, including in the energy and mining sectors.
In 2017, Indonesia-EFTA trade was worth $2.4 billion, with Indonesia having a trade surplus of $212 million.
