Myanmar women garment workers on study trip to B'desh

“They would also become supportive of more pleasant working relationships,” she said adding that Thone Pann Hla woud continue to help women garment employees lead a “safer and more secure lifestyle.”

After this mission, representatives of the Awaj foundation are scheduled to travel to Yangon to take forward the ideas exchange progamme that would enable them to meet, share experiences and strategies, said Jill Tucker, Head of Supply Chain Innovation and Transformation, C&A Foundation that funded the trip.

She expressed the hope that the relationship will continue to grow as each organization continues to advocate for the rights of workers in the apparel industry. (SH)
