Global fit expert tackles tailoring at international industry platforms – IACDE world convention in Vietnam and ASBCI key focus event in UK.
The world's leading apparel fit expert, Alvanon, is set to tackle tailoring and fit issues at two international fashion industry events – the International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives, IACDE World Convention in Vietnam and the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry, ASBCI Industry Forum event in the UK.
Janice Wang, co-founder and chief executive of the Alvanon Group of companies, has been invited to speak at the prestigious 2011 IACDE World Convention being held at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam between 8th and 10th September. At the conference entitled: 'What's next? Men's tailoring in times of turbulence' Janice Wang will join an internationally acclaimed line-up of speakers that includes Hugo Boss from Germany, Lanier Clothes from the USA and Chargeurs from France.
In her presentation: 'Individualisation of fit: local fit for global brands' she will demonstrate how an increasing number of successful brands are using the latest 3D-based body research shape data and advanced technical forms to drive their global fit strategies. She will share some of the latest morphological data generated by Alvanon and show how it has been applied to generate technical fit forms that represent the 'real' body shape of consumers within specific geographic regions.
Ed Gribbin, president, Alvanon Inc, will also be addressing fit issues for tailored clothing at the ASBCI's 'Suits you? Industry trends in contemporary tailoring' seminar being held at the Barnsdale Lodge Hotel, Rutland Water in the UK on Tuesday 11th October 2011. He will join an eminent line-up of experts that will include speakers from Savile Row and Marks & Spencer. Ed Gribbin's presentation: 'The changing shape of tailoring' will reveal how the shape of the global consumer population has changed over recent years and will detail the six steps to international fit success for tailored garments.
