Ireland soccer jerseys sold out on soaring demand

Retail shops in Ireland have sold out the stock of jerseys worn by the country's soccer team after the national team entered the Euro 2012 finals.

Actually, the brands manufacturing soccer jerseys did not anticipate the Ireland team to qualify for the Euro cup and had produced to meet only normal buying patterns.

But fans started asking for jerseys immediately after the national team beat Armenia in the final group game.

The demand for the green jerseys grew manifold immediately on Ireland's entry into Euro cup, which was not met with sufficient supply.

Brands too put in place plans to increase the supplies of soccer jerseys the same day Ireland qualified, but the new stock is expected to reach retail stores only by mid-February. Until then, Ireland's soccer fans will have to wait.
