In a signing ceremony in Bern, Swiss Post became Fair Wear Foundation's newest member. Swiss Post produces 300,000 items of clothing per year for its 38,000 employees who wear Swiss Post uniforms and workwear.

Following several months of discussions and preparatory work, FWF Director Erica van Doorn and Axel Butterweck, Swiss Post's Head of Procurement met to sign the Code of Labour Practices.

Swiss Post divisions operate in several sectors including postal delivery, transport and financial services. Clothing is sourced from an internal business unit, and Swiss Post is the first FWF member to use such an internal sourcing strategy for their clothing.

Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is an international verification initiative dedicated to enhancing workers’ lives all over the world. We work closely with a growing number of companies that produce clothing and other sewn products and that take responsibility for their supply chain.
