Royal Ontario Museum unveils collection of 50,000 costumes

The Patricia Harris Gallery of Textiles & Costume opened to the public in April 2008 as part of the Renaissance ROM expansion project. Named in honour of Mrs. Patricia Harris, in appreciation of the ongoing generous support of Mr. William and Mrs. Patricia Harris, the Harris Gallery is one of the most dramatic spaces in the ROM addition, with angular walls rising to approximately 13 metres.

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is an agency of the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports. Opened in 1914, Canada’s largest museum of natural history and world cultures has six million objects in its collections and galleries showcasing art, archaeology and natural science.
