Nasiri market, which houses hundreds of garment shops, located in Afghanistan’s capital city of Kabul erupted in flames in the wee hours of December 23, damaging apparels worth several million US dollars.

The fire turned scores of shops in the market to ashes, before the fire can be extinguished by the fire fighters, according to Xinhua.

Earlier, in July this year, around 20 people lost their lives while 183 others were injured in two separate fire accidents in Kabul.
