Dubai based and lifestyle retail chain owner Landmark will debut leading Italian sports fashion brand Kappa and Hong Kong based family wear brand Bossini in May, this year.
Landmark is expected to bring in more brands in due course of time, company sources said.
Under as a licensing agreement, the two brands will be marketed in India and ad agency McCann-Erickson of Bangalore, has bagged the creative business for both the brands.
Group M's MindShare, which currently handles Lifestyle, will also handle the media duties for the two accounts.
McCann beat Mudra and Bates Enterprise to take the prestigious assignment estimated between Rs 5-6 crore.
Suhrid Devsharma, Business Head, Brands, Landmark Group, said, “McCann displayed an in-depth understanding of fashion wear brands and the retail industry. It is the agency's homework on our brand ethos and retail advertising that made us zero in on them.”
McCann-Erickson Vice-President and General Manager, Dileep Ashoka, acknowledged that handling international brands Levi's and Dockers for a few years gave good exposure to the company.
He viewed apparel as “a difficult and exciting category,”
Brands strategy is yet to be unveiled, mass media is expected to claim major share in it.
With brand leadership in European and China markets, Italian brand Kappa (since 1916), is mainly into apparel and sports accessories.
Hong Kong based Bossini, caters to all segments and is a major player Latin America and the Middle East markets.
