The Bureau of Spanish Fashion (la Mesa de la Moda Española) has decided to introduce a national award in Spain to promote excellence in the country’s fashion brands during a Bureau’s meeting held recently, reports modaes.es.

The Bureau consists of representatives from the Ministries of Industry and Culture of Spain along with company owners and designers of the Spanish fashion industry.

The national award will be introduced to recognize the contribution of Spanish fashion brands and companies and to pump in finance into the fashion companies.

The meeting was attended by the Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME or Association of Fashion Designers of Spain), the Federación Española de Empresas de Confección (FEDECON or Spanish Federation of Garments), Asociacion Espanola de Productos para la Infancia (ASEPRI or Spanish Association for Childhood Products) and major clothing companies of Spain, including Inditex, Cortefiel, El Corte Ingles, Mango and Pronovias.
