Las Vegas based Casualmere brand bamboo shirts president, Dennis Fasone, a 35 year clothing industry veteran, announced development of luxury men’s woven shirts made from 100% bamboo, the most eco-friendly fabric source, and Casualmere’s Kickstarter project to fund initial production of short and long sleeve versions of the luxury products.

“You may have heard of bamboo T-shirts or golf shirts, they are knits” Fasone said. “But woven bamboo for dress shirts is totally new, and a beautiful fabric for luxury clothing.”

Casualmere has spent a year researching and developing their bamboo shirt fabric in an elegant, textured, herringbone twill weave as well as producing three separate sets of test samples to assure a perfect luxury shirt.

Luxury design features include fine single-needle stitching, bamboo buttons, inner-facing inside the collar and button plackets for long-term elegance, stylish adjustable cuff details,  and much more.

Casualmere’s custom accents include elegant woven labels and embroidery.  Eco-green inside-neck tape and custom hang-tags that identify the benefits of bamboo fabric make the luxury products stand out in a crowded retail environment.

“Exceedingly Organic” is how Fasone likes to describe bamboo as a fabric source.  “Bamboo requires no insecticides, fertilizers or excessive watering for successful growth.  A forest-size grove of bamboo will regrow every 3-4 years for harvest” he explains.  “Bamboo is renewable and organic to another level!  Bamboo is considered a ‘Carbon Sink’ converting huge amounts of Carbon to Oxygen during growth.”
