Pepco to achieve network of 300 discount shops

In its expansion move, Pepco has opened 50 discount shops on cloth and home appliances products.

This South African retailer has more than 2000 shops across 12 countries.

With 30 shops every year, the retailer plans to have a network of more than 100 shops by 2007, informed Marcin Stanko from Pepco.

To achieve the dream-figure of 300 shops in total, the company has invested PLN 20 million (Euro 5.2 million) in last two years.

Company intends to corner 8 to 10 percent of total retail market worth PLN 7 billion, Stanko said.
